OfficeVenue: applications

OfficeVenue may be deployed within an organisation in a number of different ways:

Multiple Offices

Where an organisation operates out of two or more offices, OfficeVenue may be used to improve inter-office communication. The particular benefits which the solution can provide are:

  • Reduced cost of inter-office communications. This is achieved by switching voice and data traffic from ‘metered’ tariffs to ‘un-metered’. Cost savings can be substantial. Furthermore, by moving from variable costs to fixed costs, budgeting is improved.
  • Improved team collaboration, sharing of documents, files and other resources between offices.
  • The ability to use a single company-wide telephone number across different sites with all users having access to a personal extension number regardless of which office they happen to be working in.

Home workers

With OfficeVenue, personnel working from home can be afforded access to exactly the same tools that are available in the office. Principally these are:

  • A personal computer (PC) with secure, ‘always on’ connection to the organisation’s servers (wherever these are located)
  • A telephone which operates as an extension on the organisation’s ‘switchboard’

With the full set of facilities available through OfficeVenue, personnel are able to work from home as effectively as being in the office. Indeed, for many people, productivity is significantly improved when working from home.

Distributed Call Centre

OfficeVenue supports the establishment of ‘distributed call centres’ capable of employing up to 50 home-based agents. This approach can offer significant advantages over the conventional call centre:

  • Set-up costs and running costs are typically much lower than for conventional call centres
  • Staff no longer need to travel to their place of work
  • The number of agents on-line can be varied at short notice to take account of variations in inbound call volume
  • Organisations can make use of high calibre personnel who otherwise would be unavailable for work (e.g. people with health/mobility problems or dependent relatives)
  • For many agents, the home environment provides a work location more conducive to good customer dialogue

Virtual Company

For small organisations, or start-up businesses, OfficeVenue offers a way of operating efficiently and professionally without the need for physical offices. Personnel can work from home while to the outside world, appearing like a conventional organisation with all employees working under one roof. Organisations can project a ‘large company image’ while keeping running costs to a minimum. C
